TEAM BUILDING

Research demonstrates that teams outperform individuals; create more diverse, stimulating challenges; boost morale; and yield new skills for employees.

Watch high-performing teams in any domain, and you will see a group of people operating with a shared sense of mission and a feeling of camaraderie. This workshop is designed to empower participants to be more effective team members and leaders. Topics may include team development, conflict resolution, communication, decision-making, and employee motivation.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Develop an understanding of their own team style and source of motivation.
  2. Recognize the factors influencing their team’s effectiveness and performance.
  3. Learn new team-building skills that can be effective in the real world.
  4. Generate new team communication strategies to foster successful and efficient team collaboration.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

No doubt, the “hot topic” in human resources today is DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion).

Research has proven that strong DEI programs foster healthy organizational culture and have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line through increased productivity and profitability, talent acquisition, employee retention, and improvements in creativity and innovation. This workshop examines the role leadership plays in addressing issues of diversity and equity. Topics may include social equity, power dynamics, and social justice. It also aims to frame a personal philosophy of DEI along with an action plan that leads to transforming an organization into one that is equitable, respectful, and responsive to diversity.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Become familiarized with strategies that lead to improved understanding of human differences that will foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and belonging.
  2. Examine their personal philosophy, biases, and leadership style in contrast to a framework of multicultural competence.
  3. Increase understanding of the intersectionality of race, gender, language, culture, and other factors as applied to problem solving, decision-making, and transforming the organization.
  4. Gain tools to promote participation of diverse voices for collaborative and respectful relationships.

THE LEADER WITHIN

Transformational change begins with you. Are you the leader your team needs right now?

Do you have a “one-size-fits-all” approach to leadership? If so, this workshop offers insight into the concept of self-leadership and will provide opportunities to explore your personal values, purpose, and default leadership style. You will explore your strengths and develop strategies for personal growth. Topics will include emotional intelligence, situational leadership, and transformational leadership. You will also construct your personal mission and vision statements and create an action plan to get you where you want to go.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Evaluate their personal values, beliefs and personal characteristics and the impact they have on their perception of people and events around them.
  2. Find more clarity regarding their purpose and construct their personal mission and vision statements.
  3. Understand their leadership style and what motivates them.
  4. Assess their emotional intelligence quotient (EQ) and create a leadership development plan based on their findings.

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION & CULTURE

Do you have a people problem in your organization? Would individuals in your organization even describe your culture as toxic? Oftentimes, this feeling is a result of the way members communicate with one another.

This workshop examines the various processes of communication and conflict resolution found most effective in organizations. Participants will reflect on their own communication behaviors and learn strategies for engaging others in crucial conversations and coaching conversations as a means to manage conflict, improve relationships, and build a healthier organizational culture.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Assess their personal communication behaviors and styles and explore their impact on individuals, groups, and the organization as a whole.
  2. Become familiar with best practices for engaging others in crucial conversations and coaching conversations to improve relationships, accountability, and performance.
  3. Learn new strategies to address interpersonal conflicts.
  4. Analyze the theories, structure, and processes of negotiation.

STRESS MANAGEMENT & MENTAL HEALTH

1 in 5 people will experience a mental health disorder each year, now the largest cause of disability and absenteeism worldwide.

Although experts agree coping skills and the ability to regulate one’s emotions is an important solution to this mental health crisis, very few organizations dedicate any formalized training to address stress, burnout, depression, and mental health. This workshop focuses on preventative strategies to manage stress and provides resources to improve mental health.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the critical importance of attending to their own mental health and the mental health of their employees.
  2. Become familiar with protective factors against anxiety and depression.
  3. Learn new coping mechanisms to reduce stress and burnout.
  4. Identify risk factors and warning signs that someone they know is experiencing a mental health crisis and learn how they can help.

CONNECTED LEADERSHIP

Modern leadership requires a more connected approach where leaders seek to understand their employees as individuals while addressing individual motivators.

Traditional management theory and practice involves a top-down hierarchical structure where employee motivation is driven by either reward or punishment. Research today demonstrates that money is no longer the top motivator for employee performance. This workshop focuses on leading with heart and learning to engage team members through rapport building and connected leadership.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  1. Have a better understanding of what motivates their team members to become high performers.
  2. Become familiar with modern leadership theories such as servant leadership, connected leadership, and leading from the heart.
  3. Learn how their own vulnerability creates opportunities to inspire and motivate others.
  4. Improve their social skills and their ability to manage relationships and rapport.
